Rabbit and Dumplings

This is a family favorite for dinner and it tastes better the following days reheated.

Boil 2 rabbits for 2 1/2 hours and pick the meat off of the bones.
Place the meat back into the broth from boiling and add a can of chicken broth.

Making Dumplings :
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons of shortening
3/4 cup milk
Mix ingredients good and either roll them out and cut into dumpling strips or create dumpling balls. However you want to do it.

Place the dumplings in and cook on LOW until dumplings are cooked through. Usually 1 1/2 hours.
Serve and enjoy.
